MISSION STATEMENT
Central Jersey Conservative Union is an educational and advocacy organization based in Montgomery Township, NJ, with the mission to provide awareness and actionable direction to our members and the public regarding political and societal matters as related to conservatism. We further seek to fill an information void on relevant issues that the mainstream media fail to fully address, and to correct its biases that promote biased, ideological points of view, contrary to professional journalistic practices and ethical codes.
Our membership is comprised of Central New Jersey and surrounding community citizens that believe in constitutional conservatism. We feel that our government and its elected, appointed representatives and bureaucrats from local to federal levels, too often act unilaterally and without accountability to the American people. Further, that they are growing rapidly in size and influence at a rate that cannot be sustained without degrading the fabric of our society and our founding father's principles.
As an educational and advocacy organization, CJCU may endorse candidates, regulatory policies or legislation that our Board feels are founded on conservative principles. We demand openness of our elected representatives and encourage our members to actively support the candidates and policies that advance our mission. Also we ask CJCU members to join us in sharing information with our community so that together we may all be better informed and able to responsibly perform our duties as free citizens of the United States of America.
We offer programs that we feel will be relevant and of general interest to our membership and our community. We encourage CJCU members and our fellow citizens to fully participate in these programs, and to advance ideas for speakers, events and initiatives in support of our stated mission. OUR CODE
Central Jersey Conservative Union members share a conviction in the basic underlying principles of the U.S. Constitution that define us as a people and a nation, and bestow upon us the unfettered freedom to reach our full potential as individuals to the extent that we choose to apply ourselves:
- Our unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (Freedom).
- Limited government of, by and for The People - wherein our government gets its authority only by the will and consent of the People.
- Fiscal responsibility and accountability of our elected representatives, their agents and agencies.
Toward these ends we embrace and promote individual responsibility and exceptionalism, fiscal restraint, balanced spending and the economic principles of private enterprise and free market capitalism that have made the United States of America the most innovative, prosperous nation on the face of the earth, and a beacon of Freedom for all peoples of the world.
